Instructors and Copan

Here are a few pictures to share from this past week.

First – pictures of our language instructors at the Guacamaya school.

My instructor is Lourdes. Kathy’s instructor the first week was Cesia, pictured here standing with Kathy. The instructor for week two and currently is Gaby .

All have been very helpful and patient and probably know more about our lives than anyone in another country should have to endure. I mean, you have to have something familiar to talk about as you test out new vocabulary and verb conjugations. Thank God I moved into past tense verbs this week so at least we can talk about a period of time bigger than the here and now. We had pretty much beaten that time frame to bits. And this week we are moving into the future tense and imperative (commands!).

Here are some shots from the central park of Copan, showing the steep hill leading to our house and the downtown area.

I recognize Gabi! She was Katie's instructor. Oh, and I also recognize where Dad was sitting with his instructor...nice place, but lots of mosquitoes!

Past tense! Future tense! How exciting to move past the here and now. We're glad language instruction is going well. Keeping you in our prayers; we have your prayer card above our desk.
